Autism Services

PROVIDING SERVICE TO THOSE WITH AUTISM AND THEIR FAMILIES

In partnership with The Ontario Autism Program, the Autism services provided by FIREFLY provide professional assessment, intervention, and/or treatment for children and youth, under the age of 18 years, who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) – including Autism or Autistic Disorder, Pervasive Development Disorder, and Asperger’s Disorder.

ABA Behavioural Consultation

ABA Behavioural Consultation Service is for children and youth with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, who are registered for, or have applied to, the Ontario Autism Program. The service is available through Fee for Service.

Urgent Response Service

Urgent Response Service is a time-limited rapid service response for children and youth with Autism. The service is intended to address a specific behaviour need with a focus on preventing further escalation of risk of harm to self, others, and/or property. Eligible families can receive up to 12-weeks of services and support which are specifically designed to address a behavior of concern.

Services are provided through a consultative model as well as direct services using a Mediator Model Intervention. Click here to learn more about Medicator Model Intervention.

Virtual Autism Youth Group

For ages 10-16. Meets the last Monday of the month from 6-7 PM CST. Click here to register.

Autism Parent Support Group

Parents and caregivers of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) – Join us virtually on the first Tuesday of every month at 7 PM to share experiences, resources and stories. FIREFLY staff will facilitate group activities and discussions.

FIREFLY is partnering with Child and Community Resources (CCR) to provide services for families with children/youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis. Thanks to funding from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services these sessions will be offered to families free of charge.
