SUPPORTING PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, DEVELOPMENTAL, AND COMMUNITY SERVICES
You can support the children, youth, and families that receive help from FIREFLY by participating in one of our fundraising initiatives, hosting a charity event of your own, or by making a personal donation.
Your generous support will help children, families, and our communities. All donations made to FIREFLY are tax deductible and go directly to programs and services that support children and families in the Kenora and Rainy River districts.
Endowment Funds – Building Forever Together
In addition todonations, FIREFLY and two FIREFLY programs – Minto Family Resource Centre and Triple Play have charitable agency endowment funds with the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation. Income from these endowment funds will continue in perpetuity and be used by FIREFLY as source of funding for their programs. Anyone may contribute to the fund and donations will be accepted through the Community Foundation or FIREFLY.
Kenora – July 4, 2013 The Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of a $50,000 charitable agency endowment fund with FIREFLY. Income from this endowment fund will continue in perpetuity and be used by FIREFLY as source of funding for their programs. Anyone may contribute to the fund and donations will be accepted through the Community Foundation or FIREFLY. FIREFLY is a charitable organization that provides child and youth mental health services, children’s rehabilitation services, adult developmental services, child care services, as well as an array of community services that support children and their families. Their vision is Healthy People, Resilient Families and Vibrant Communities.

A donation ‘In Memory Of’ a loved one or friend in a wonderful and meaningful way to honour their memory. If the deceased received services from FIREFLY, was a supporter of the agency, or was someone who cared deeply about the physical, developmental, and emotional health of children and youth, you may wish to consider naming FIREFLY as a charity of choice in lieu of flowers.
