FIREFLY offers a wide range of programs for caregivers and parents to help navigate both common and unique experiences that families today are facing. Whether you’re looking for a specific topic or would like one-on-one support, we can help guide you on your parenting journey.

This program is facilitated by RoxAnne Daignault FIREFLY’s Parenting Mental Health Support Worker and Shannon Bowcock, a Senior Clinician with FIREFLY’s Children and Youth Mental Health Team.
FIREFLY has partnered with the Lake of The Woods District Hospital, Canadian Mental Health Association Fort Frances and Parents for Children’s Mental Health to offer both One-on-one support sessions as well as group sessions with our Parenting Mental Health Support Worker. These sessions provide a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space for parents/caregivers to speak openly and honestly about their experiences supporting their loved ones with mental health struggles.

Triple P is a parenting program, that provides information, space, and perspective to explore your own parenting. It allows you the ability to choose your own goals, according to your own beliefs and values, and then select and adapt Triple P parenting strategies to help you achieve those goals. The three Ps in ‘Triple P’ stand for ‘Positive Parenting Program’ which means your family life is going to be much more enjoyable.
FIREFLY offers Triple P in two programs:
Group Teen Triple P for parents and caregivers of children ages 12-16.
The Virtual Autism Parent Support Group is an excellent opportunity for caregivers of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder to get together and share their struggles, successes and ask questions. You do not need to commit to every session and the group is always welcoming new members. You are welcome to email [email protected] if you have any questions.
All meetings take place virtually beginning at 7:00 PM Central time.
