Caregiver Support

Parenting Mental Health Support Worker 

RoxAnne Daignault offers both one-on-one and group sessions for caregivers. Everyone is welcome. This program is in partnership with the Lake of The Woods District Hospital, Canadian Mental Health Association Fort Frances and Parents for Children’s Mental Health. The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)

The college maintains an online registry that lists all registered social workers and social service workers in Ontario. You can use it to check a worker’s registration status, any discipline history, and their employer’s contact information. Click on the link below for further instructions on how to find a social worker.

College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)

The public register provides information about psychotherapists registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. If you have difficulty finding information about a registrant or if you have questions, you are welcome to contact them. If you are looking for a Registered Psychotherapist who can provide care in a language other than English, you can email [email protected] to request a list of providers.

College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO)

Use the link below to find a Psychologist or Applied Behaviour Analyst (ABA) by either name or city. You can also specify if you’re looking for a Psychologist or an ABA.

College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

The College of Nurses of Ontario has an excellent resource for finding a nurse near you. You can search by name, registration number, the name of the incorporated business where the nurse is an owner or shareholder, or their the practice information.

College of Dieticians of Ontario (CDO)

Click on the link below to visit the CDO and then click on “Find a Dietitian” in the middle of the page under the heading “Register of Dieticians”. In the Advanced Search portion of the page, put in your information (Language, City, Postal Code). You can put in as much or as little information as you would like. Then click the “Search” button. A list of professionals will appear.  

College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)

Click on the link below to visit the college’s website. Once there click on “List of Registered Occupational Therapists” in the top right corner. You can either search by name, or put in your information to find a registered OT near you (City/Town, Postal code, Language, Main Area of Practice, Age, Setting). Click “Search” on the bottom right, and a list of OT’s will pop up.

College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO)

Click on the link below and click on “Find a Physiotherapist” in the top right corner. Click on “See More Search Options” on the bottom right corner. Here you can put as much, or as little amount of information in, and then click the “Advanced Search” button at the bottom of the page. 

College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO)

For Psychometry, Positive Behaviour Interventionalists, psychology assessments, or psycho-education visit the CPBAO website linked below. 

Click on “Public Register” in the top right corner. If looking for a professional near you, put in your City and Postal Code. Click on the green “Search Now” button and a list will appear with registered professionals near you.

College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)

To find a Speech-Language Pathologist near you click on the college’s webpage linked below. Click on “Find a Registered Professional” in the top left corner. Put in your information in the “Advanced Search” area (Language, Age, City/Town) and then click “Search. You will see a list of licensed SLPs in your area.
