Nominate a Mental Health Champion in Your Community

In recognition of Mental Health Week (May 4–10), we are inviting community members to help us celebrate individuals who are making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. This initiative is an opportunity to acknowledge those who go above and beyond to support mental well-being, reduce stigma, and create more inclusive and compassionate environments.

A Mental Health Champion can be anyone, someone working in a professional role, a caregiver, a community partner, or an individual with lived or living experience. What matters most is their impact. These are the people who show up for others, advocate for better access to supports, and help foster spaces where individuals feel safe, heard, and valued.

Everyone nominated will receive a certificate of recognition and may be featured on social media (with their consent) as part of our Mental Health Week celebrations.

Nominees may be recognized for a range of contributions, including:

  • Promoting mental health awareness, inclusion, and equitable access to support within their community, workplace, or organization.
  • Providing compassionate, person-centered support that empowers individuals and families to enhance their well-being and thrive.
  • Reducing Stigma and Promoting Understanding to create a safe and supportive environment.
  • Implementing creative programs, strategies, or resources that improve mental health awareness, accessibility, or outcomes.
  • Inspiring and guiding others by modeling empathy, professionalism, and a strong commitment to mental wellness.
  • Working to reduce barriers and ensure inclusive, culturally responsive, and equitable access to mental health supports and services.
  • Building strong partnerships with individuals, families, and professionals to support holistic and coordinated mental health care.
  • Empowering Others Through Lived Experience and Self-Advocacy.

If you know someone who deserves to be recognized for their contributions to mental health and well-being, we encourage you to submit a nomination.
