We’re happy ot share that FIREFLY Kenora will be hosting staff from AccessOAP on November 18 and 19 for a number of information sessions for both service providers and caregivers.
AccessOAP is the independent intake organization funded by the Government of Ontario to manage and coordinate access to the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).
The OAP manages the official registration and account portal for families of children and youth under 18 years of age who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Ontario. Through the program, families are connected with care coordinators who can answer questions, explain available service options, and help them navigate local community supports.
The OAP also conducts the determination of needs process for families entering Core Clinical Services, which helps assess the level of support required and informs funding allocations. In addition, the program helps families access a range of service streams, including Foundational Family Services, Core Clinical Services, and Urgent Response Services.
We know this can sometimes feel overwhelming or you may have questions, so we’re thrilled to be hosting them in Kenora to help provide answers! Please see the full schedule below:
