I remember when every appointment meant starting again – explaining our child, our family, what had helped, and what had hurt. Now our story travels with us. People know my daughter\u2019s name, what matters to her, and what we are working toward. I can show up as her parent, be part of the plan, and trust that we are not doing this alone. Long before people need FIREFLY, they already know the agency because of the incredible things heard from other parents in our community. I booked my own appointment. I could see the options, choose what felt right, and talked to someone in a way that worked for me. For a long time, I couldn’t see my own path until FIREFLY helped me light the way to make it visible. Nobody made me feel like a problem to fix. They helped me understand what was happening, what I had control over, and what I could try next. I feel understood. We talk about pressure before people burnout. We learn together and ask for help sooner. Families are not treated like visitors to the process, and staff are not treated like endless capacity. We are building a human bridge to care, not just getting through the day.
