The Community Action Plan for Children (CAPC) promotes the health and wellbeing of children up to the age of 6 years, who face challenges that put their health at risk in Kenora, Red Lake, and Ear Falls. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Improve healthy child development by:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

  • Improving parenting skills and parent-child relationships<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
    • Decreasing social isolation<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
      • Increasing child self-esteem<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
        • Providing child-focused activities, such as preschool programs and play groups<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
          \n\t\t\t\t
          \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

          Promote and create partnerships within communities to:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

          • Actively involve the people they serve in the planning, managing, developing, delivering, and evaluation of their programs<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
            • Strengthen community capacity<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
              • Support vulnerable children and their families<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                Services include education and support on child development, parenting, child safety, and a healthy nutrition and lifestyle.
