School Based Rehabilitation Services

Did you know that FIREFLY was designated to deliver School Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS) in the Kenora and Rainy River Districts since January 1, 2019?

FIREFLY is excited to share that these services have been transferred by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services to FIREFLY on a permanent basis!

What are School Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS)?

Speech-Language therapy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy services that are provided in schools.

Does this mean there will be changes to my child’s services?

Not at this time. FIREFLY is looking forward to continuing to provide high quality services to students across the district. As with all our programs, FIREFLY will seek to continuously improve our services to ensure we are meeting the needs of students, families and schools within the fixed funding we receive.
